A French tourist came to the “Shonoheya” for 1 day lesson of calligraphy and stamp!

She enjoyed Japanese style room with wood scent and felt Japanese vibe.


Calligraphy lesson was started.


It was first experience for her to hold a brush so she seemed nervous.
First, we practiced writing her name in kanji.
Only a few trial, she understood how to use the brush!


Then, she wrote her name on colored paper.
Her artwork was awesome.
I couldn’t believe that she has never held brush before this lesson.

Next, we carved her name in hiragana on a stamp for her artwork.

This was also first experience for her.


She enjoyed it very much! Finally, pressed the stamp to on her artwork and it was completed!


Congratulations! It was a wonderful experience!


After the lesson, we chatted with having Japanese sweets.

いよいよ書道体験

筆を持つことが初めてのようで、緊張されてました

まずは名前を漢字で書く練習
何回か練習すると、筆の使い方がわかってきました！

本番では色紙に制作
初めての書とは思えないほど上手で感動！

次に印を彫る制作
サキさんのお名前のさをひらがなで彫ります！

印を彫ることをしたことがなかったようで、これまた初体験！

とても楽しんでもらえました！

最後に印を押して完成です！
